What does it mean “Finding Yourself”? Finding yourself simply means learning life lessons, embracing positive and negative changes, acknowledging self-reflection, cultivating mindfulness, prioritizing yourself, seeking support, embracing vulnerability, taking action, embracing your journey, and reevaluating yourself.
“Finding yourself” also means to inspect yourself and discover your true identity. Ask yourself, “What is my true identity”? Don’t forget to discover your true values, passions, and purpose in life. It is so important to look at the essential deep comings of realization and who you are in this world. You need to know the core of what your life really means to you and what you really mean in your life, as well as other peoples’ lives around you. Often, after you recognize this, your life will be easier in important areas.
The key points about “finding yourself” require mostly self-awareness. Requiring mostly self-awareness is looking at your strengths, weakness, desires, and what you believe. “Finding Yourself” start on the inside.
Next, look at personal growth. Personal Growth is a process involving experiences through significance. The personal growth also means facing challenges, a deeper introspection leading to a deeper understanding. You must have full understanding of yourself.
Alignment with values- after “finding yourself” taking actions and making decisions must align with what you found. The equation should balance on both sides-create equal opportunities.
Sense of Purpose means discovering your purpose in your life, your space, and where you belong. Should you feel comfortable where you belong? Yes. If you feel uncomfortable where you think you belong, should you step away? Yes. Sense of purpose is another important impact facture in “finding yourself”
After developing personal growth, aligning values is identifying a sense of purpose. This is just the start of “finding yourself”.
For example, I want to share what it means to “finding myself”. A verse term I know too well in my personal experience. At a young age, “Finding Myself” was a tough challenge. Why? Into my early teens, I had come to terms with my disability. I was born with hearing impairment. I’m deaf in my right ear and wear a hearing aid in my left ear. Eighty percent of my hearing is gone in my left ear wearing the hearing aid, but I learned to speak as a child. I know a little sign language, not much to communicate with deaf individuals. And I can lip-read. I depend on my hearing aid to get me through life. How did I find myself? Through accomplishing goals, dreams, and my ambitions. I received a high school diploma in General Studies, a certificate in Data Entry, and a 1st Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I became an author in January 2015 and became a multi-award-winning author in literature in September 2016. My disability didn’t stop me from becoming the best in life. It didn’t stop me from “finding myself”. I accomplished so much in life between “finding myself”, but let’s focus on the person reading this book.
Have you found yourself?
If the answer is yes, what did you find?
If the answer is no, what didn’t you find?
Life can be pretty hard sometimes when you are not focusing on finding yourself. That should be your number one priority, and nobody should be your number one priority, not even your children, and certainly not your spouse, other relationships, or friends. In order to lead an army, find yourself first. Reflecting back to what we discussed earlier, the introduction to “finding yourself” all opportunities must balance. Your self-discoveries will surprise you. What you find will surprise other people in your life.
When finding yourself, something clicks in your brain. You realize more than just who you are. You realize how human you are, too. Individuals seeking finding themselves discover different purposes. “Finding yourself” doesn’t fit everyone in the same fashion. It is not “one size fits all”. Different ways vary for each person. But the ultimate focus on what you want out of your life is when you find yourself-your brain generates ideas of further pursuing finding yourself.
